How we make money
A rating site is only worth reading if you know who pays it. This page is the complete list. If a way of earning is not on it, we do not do it.
| Source | What it buys | What it never buys | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Featured placement | A slot above the ranking on the hub pages a claimed creator belongs to, and a place in the homepage’s labelled Featured spotlight, marked “Featured” wherever it appears. Bought per month; the start of every placement is written to the public moderation log. | A rating, a rank, a fact, a review, or the removal of any of them. Featured profiles are excluded from every ranked table. | Built; opens when the company’s own payment account is live. |
| Agency listings | Nothing, yet. An agency page and roster are free. If a paid tier is ever added it will be placement-only, labelled, and listed here first. | A better position for the creators an agency represents. | Free. |
| Platform referral links | Nothing on this site. If we ever join a platform’s referral programme for creators who sign up through us, the link will carry rel="sponsored" and say so next to it. | A change to what a profile says. | Not in use. Links to creator pages carry no affiliate parameters. |
What is free, for everyone, always
- Being listed, being rated, and being re-checked.
- Claiming a profile, updating its facts, replying publicly, and leaving.
- Reading everything on the site. There is no paywall and no “premium” data.
- Reader accounts, watchlists and alerts.
The one relationship to know about
One creator listed here works with the people who run the site and is shown as Featured on the hubs she belongs to. Her profile says so. Her rating follows the same published rules as everyone else’s, and she is excluded from the ranked tables like every Featured profile.
What we would rather not earn
No advertising networks, no tracking scripts, no selling of data, no “remove this review” fees, no pay-to-verify badges. Each of those would make the ratings worth less than the money, and the ratings are the product.
