Editorial & corrections policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
Every rating and every editorial note on this site is written by a person following published rules. This is what those people commit to, and what happens when they get something wrong.
What an editorial note is
A short description of the service a page sells, written from the public page and the public numbers: what the bio promises, what the counters show, whether the two agree. It is labelled “Written by RatedCreators” and dated. It is not a review, it does not describe the person, and it never uses explicit language.
How ratings are produced
Five criteria, each scored 0–2, published in full in the method. Two are arithmetic on public numbers and change automatically when the numbers do. Three are an editor’s reading of the public page. A criterion that cannot be assessed from public data is left unassessed, never scored zero, and every rating says how many criteria it rests on.
The method changes only with a dated note in the guide. Thresholds were last recalibrated on 2026-10-08; the guide explains why and what changed.
Independence
- Nobody who writes a note or a rating is paid by, employed by, or managing the page they write about. The one creator who works with the site is labelled Featured and excluded from rankings; her rating follows the same rules.
- Money buys placement, labelled. It does not buy a rating, a rank, a fact, or the removal of any of them. See how we make money.
- Platforms, agencies and creators can correct facts with evidence. None of them can edit a rating.
- Featured status, agency links and every moderator decision are written to the public moderation log.
Corrections
If a fact on a page is wrong — a price, a count, a location, a link — tell us at hello@ratedcreators.com or, if it is your own page, from your dashboard. We check the source, fix the page, and keep the previous value in the history of checks so the change is visible. Corrections to editorial notes are made the same way, with the note’s date updated.
We do not remove accurate statements because they are unwelcome. We do remove anything that turns out to be about the person rather than the service, and we say so in the moderation log.
Target: a reply within two working days; a fix, where warranted, in the same reply.
Correction of 2026-09-20: 73 editorial notes written before this policy was published were revised to remove wording about age, appearance, ethnicity or private life and to replace named sexual acts with a neutral description of the content list. Prices, counts and the judgement in each note were kept. The same rules now run as a check on every import.
Sources
Public facts come from the creator’s own public page as shown on public listing and metrics sites, read on a stated date; from the creator herself once she has claimed the profile; and from nowhere else. Estimates of subscribers or earnings published by third parties are not repeated. When two sources disagree, both figures are shown with their dates.
What we will not write
- Anything about a creator’s body, appearance, ethnicity, age beyond “18+”, or private life.
- Anything explicit. The site is safe for work by design.
- Anything we could not point to on the public page or in the public numbers.
- A rating for a page we have not read.
