What is Auto-renew?

Also called: rebill, recurring charge

Auto-renew is the default state of a subscription: it charges again at the end of each period until you turn it off. Turning it off stops the next charge and does not end the period you have already paid for.

What it means for you

  • Cancel as soon as you know you do not want another month, not on the renewal date. Cancelling early costs nothing because access runs to the end of the period.
  • Renewals can process at any point on the renewal day, so cancelling that morning may be too late.
  • On a prepaid bundle, turning off auto-renew stops the next bundle. It does not refund the months you have already bought.
  • The control lives in your own billing settings, not on the creator’s profile. You never need the creator’s involvement or permission, and cancelling is not something they are notified about in a way that requires explanation.
  • Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account. Your purchase history, messages and unlocked content remain until you delete the account separately, which is a different and usually irreversible action.

A concrete example

You cancel on the renewal date itself and a charge appears anyway. The renewal had already been initiated, and payment processing is not instant — cancelling stops the next one, not one already in flight. The fix is to cancel as soon as you know, since access runs to the end of the paid period regardless of when you turn it off.

Illustrative. Not a real account, and not based on one.

How this shows up in reviews here

Auto-renew itself is not reviewable; it is a normal platform mechanic disclosed at purchase. A charge taken after a documented cancellation is a different matter, and that is a support case first.
